The Indiana County Democratic Committee (ICDC) was well represented at the Indiana-Armstrong Central Labor Council’s (CLC) breakfast on Saturday, October 12. It was held at St. Mary’s Byzantine Church in Homer City.
ICDC, one of the breakfast’s sponsors, was represented by Lynne Alvine, Chair; Sherene Hess, Commissioner; Hank Knerr, Vice Chair; Zoe Ritchie, Northern District Representative; Arlene Wanatosky, Homer City Mayor and ICDC Headquarters Manager; and Donna DonGiovanni. Also pictured is Rachel Sternfeld, President of the Indiana-Armstrong CLC.
The guest speaker was Brian Sanson, United Mine Workers of America Secretary-Treasurer. Sanson spoke on various current issues affecting the UMWA and labor unions in general including what deleterious consequences on organized labor the Republican and Trump plans to enact Project 2025.
Also speaking were Hess on behalf of Eugene DePasqaule, candidate for PA Attorney General, and Zach Womer, candidate for the U.S. House 15th District.
