Don't Miss It: Guest Speakers, Silent Auction, Pie Sale

Friday, August 22!

In addition to the food and time for us to re-ignite our mojo as we move into the fall elections, the Annual Indiana County Democratic Picnic at Blue Spruce Park Friday, August 22, will be a unique treat for several reasons.

Special Guests

ree

Judge Michal Wojick of the Commonwealth Court brings a special message to us about the ultimately critical voting to elect and retain state judicial offices. A graduate of Juniata College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, he will speak about his work on the bench as well as the rights the people of Pennsylvania will lose if he and other Democratic judges are not retained.

You will also get to meet Alan Bradstock who is planning to run against Guy Reschenthaler for the 14th District of the U.S. House of Representatives. Hear about his plans and how he will work to defeat the Republican incumbent. Bradstock is a resident of Connellsville and is an FBI senior manager and retired U.S. Army officer.

Silent Auction

Here are pictures of three of the over 14 items that will be offered during this year’s Picnic. Organized by the Indiana chapter of the Federation of Democratic Women. A small sampling includes a Michael Kors handbag and wallet, a Halloween basket, 4 $10 gift certificates to Lemoona House, designer lipstick and hair band, a Penzey’s spice gift set, and so much more. Be sure to bring extra cash or your checkbook and have fun outbidding your friends and helping to support the FDWIC.
